A man in love is looking for his childhood sweetheart, whom he met 12 years ago on vacation.
Jordan Scott, 25, said he was left “heartbroken” after discovering old love letters from his crush and is now hoping to be reunited with her.
Jordan met his childhood sweetheart Katie at the age of 14 on a rugby trip to Perpignan, France.
Their paths crossed when he went for a swim in the hotel pool, Hull Live Reports.
Jordan said Katie, who was then 13, “made me laugh and smile” but their romance didn’t last after he returned to East Yorkshire and Katie returned to the West Midlands.
While they were still in touch, Katie sent Jordan a series of love letters telling him how much she “loved” him and saying, “My world lights up when I see you and I have butterflies.”
Jordan now hopes to rekindle the romance with Katie, and reading the letters after all this time makes him “feel like I’ve lost a loved one”.
Now 25, he said: “I kept in touch with her then, but then lost contact after such a long time.
“Now I’ve found these letters, I want to see if I can rekindle love and ask questions.”
Jordan shared a post on Facebook to find Katie: “Everyone knows a Katie from the West Midlands.
“Get in touch, we’ll have a chat, I miss you, I remember we were on vacation together about 12 years ago.”
One person said, “This is my neck of the forest .. they might know.”
Jordan said, “No way, get us a date.”
While another added, “Leave it on Twitter, Jord, hope you find your soulmate.”
He’s now asking if anyone knows who his long-haul crush is and emails [email protected]
