If there is a quarantine activity more often than home hairstyles and Zoom calls, then spring cleaning should be. There has never been more free time to scrub everything, sort the excess and dig through boxes of dusty memories.
And stars are like the rest of us when it comes to staying isolated. Do you want proof? Just look at what Mandy Moore discovered during her own deep dive in spring cleaning.
It’s a copy of ‘Mandy Moore: The Unofficial Book’ and packed with late 90’s nostalgia.
“I quarantined some spring cleaning and found this real book that was for sale in the real world and showed it last night at @jimmykimmellive, but there are other gems and beauty advice to share with the world! she wrote in it a Flashback Friday post on Instagram.
Old photos of the pop star at the time accompany text on how fans can ‘brighten up’ their hair to look more like Mandy. But when they get jazzy, they should also note that ‘Mandy doesn’t overdo her eye makeup.’
But, as Moore warned her “Jimmy Kimmel Live” appearance, don’t put too much faith in those facts.
“It contains a lot of fun facts,” she explained of the book that once sold for $ 12.95. Like, this page here is’ 10 things we love about Mandy ‘, and the very first fact is,’ Mandy is proud of her big feet. She’s wearing a size 10 shoe. They call her Big Foot, but she doesn’t care. She thinks it’s cool feet! “”
However, when asked if the fun facts were ‘real facts’, Moore assured they were not.
“I’m a size 30 feet, but I’m not proud of it,” she laughed. “I’m not proud to be called Big Foot.”
“Even Sasquatch doesn’t like it,” Kimmel shot back.
But that book wasn’t the only thing she discovered while quarantining.
The 36-year-old “This Is Us” star held up a photo of her 1999 touring days when she opened for Backstreet Boys – and posed next to them for a wonderfully dated Polaroid photo.
“They started the show by flying in,” she said of the boy’s banders. “So they kind of wear appropriate, I don’t know … they look like space suits.”
Spring cleaning is really its own reward.
