Mariah Carey Sings "Always Be My Baby" at Home, Reminds Us She Invented High Notes

Mariah Carey brought back a classic song for the iHeartRadio Living Room Concert with Elton John on March 29. Shortly after she celebrated her 50th birthday, the singer called out a nostalgic rendition of “Always Be My Baby” from her studio at home, and squeaked, she still has those whistles locked. Her pianist and singers provided background music from their home, and although separated by social distance, every piece of the song still fit together.

The unique concert brought together artists like Carey and John, as well as other musicians such as Billie Eilish, Demi Lovato, Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes, and the Backstreet Boys, to raise money for food network bank Feeding America and the First Responders Children’s Foundation.
