Massive hunt launched as boy, 8, seen walking streets alone in pyjamas

Police are looking for a boy in Lincolnshire after he was seen alone in pajamas around midnight on Friday, November 13th.

Humberside Police have been investigating all night after a member of the public phoned that the child was wandering around New Waltham at 12:15 p.m.

The boy is said to be no older than eight years and wore dark pajamas and slippers.

Detective Inspector Tom Kelly said, “I want to reassure the public that we have teams on site on Harvey Walk and in the surrounding areas that are doing a series of investigations to try to find this child.

“We made CCTV requests, went door-to-door, and searched many areas nearby because we are understandably concerned about the child’s safety.”

“The kid was last seen on Harvey Walk but reportedly drove towards Peterson Drive and turned left around midnight this morning.

“We currently have the CCTV picture showing the child we are looking for. I appreciate the quality is poor so we ask the locals to check their CCTV footage and contact us if they see anything similar. This picture is from 12:04 p.m. on Thompson Drive in Grimsby. “

Residents said they heard a plane circling the area overnight while police conducted door-to-door investigations.

A resident told GrimsbyLive : “My neighbor knocked on the door of the police around 3:00 am. I just hope they are fine when the weather is as it is.”

Another said, “You’re just worried it’s so cold, poor thing.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 stating Protocol 16 dated November 13th.
