ITV said its UK broadcast of Oprah With Meghan And Harry was seen by a top audience of 12.4 million viewers on Monday night.
The show was viewed by more than half of the television viewers across the UK at the time.
It had an average audience of 11.1 million and a share of 54% between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m.
“This has been ITV’s biggest top audience since the 2019 Rugby World Cup final and the biggest on all channels (non-government, pandemic-related announcements) since the Strictly Come Dancing final on BBC One in December,” ITV said.
Commenting on a tweet from Variety, Matt Williams said, “Over 11 million people watched the Oprah iv with Meghan and Harry on @ITV last night on @ITV. There was a high of over 12 million. “
