Meghan Markle and Prince Harry 'don't look happy' after 'damaging' interview

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shocked the world with their reasons for leaving the royal family to start a new life in LA, but some royal experts believe things are far from rosy for the couple.

DailyMirror royal editor Russell Myers told 7News that the duo don’t even look that happy during an interview and leave them “no way back” to the monarchy Daily Star reports.

Mr Myers said, “There’s no going back now for Harry and Meghan. I think this interview has done a great deal of damage.

“There have been reputations that have been utterly destroyed. It’s an absolutely extraordinary turn of events, and I didn’t think they looked that lucky.”

Among the couple’s many surprising revelations was that Prince Charles refused to take Harry’s calls and had financially “cut off” his youngest son, who could now only rely on the wealth of his late mother’s Princess Diana.

Meghan told Oprah the royal family’s press office had done nothing to deny negative stories about her in the press.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex said they were also unhappy that their son Archie was not entitled to a title. Meghan added that these conversations about Archie coincided with discussions about “the color of baby Archie’s skin before he was born”.

As reaction pressure grew, a brief statement on behalf of the Queen read: “The whole family is saddened by how difficult the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly those of race, concern. While some memories can vary, they are taken very seriously and addressed privately by the family.

“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be popular family members.”

Days later, Prince William told a reporter that he had not spoken to his brother yet.

A week later, US presenter Gayle King, a friend of Meghan’s, said Charles, Harry and William had spoken, but the conversation was “unproductive”.

Ms. King said, “The word I was given was that these conversations were not productive,” King said. “But they are glad that they at least started a conversation.”

The host added that the couple did not want “racial talk to be an issue”.

Speaking of CBS, Ms. King said, “I think what still upsets them is that the palace keeps saying they want to work it out privately, but they still believe these fake stories are coming out that Meghan is still very much reduce.

“I find it frustrating for them to see that it’s a racist conversation about the royal family when all they wanted all along was for the royals to step in and tell the press to stop the unfair, inaccurate, bogus stories who are definitely racist, “said King.” Until you can acknowledge that, I think it will be difficult to move forward. “
