Meghan Markle and Prince Harry pay tribute to Prince Philip

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s website has been converted into a memorial page for the Duke of Edinburgh.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex paid tribute to Prince Philip on their Archewell website.

The couple are the first royals to post their own message at Windsor Castle following the death of Harry’s grandfather this morning.

A short message on archewell.com against a dark background reads: “In fond memory of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh. 1921-2021. “

It adds, “Thank you so much for your service … you will be missed very much.”

Meghan and Harry, who are expecting their second child later this year, currently live in LA.

A statement released by Buckingham Palace at noon reads: “It is with deep sadness that Her Majesty the Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

“HRH passed away peacefully at Windsor Castle this morning. Further announcements will be made in due course.

“The royal family, along with people around the world, mourn his loss.”
