Meghan Markle is unlikely to return to the UK after the royal family split, one writer has claimed.
Royal writer Anna Pasternak has claimed that the Duchess does not want to return to the country because of the clash between the royal family and their negative image in Britain.
In a full interview with Oprah Winfrey, a huge rift emerged between Meghan, Harry and the royals who claimed racism and “lies”.
However, it could mean that Meghan could never return to the UK because of the negativity Anna Pasternak said she endured. reports the mirror.
She told Fox News: “Will Meghan Markle be returning to the UK?
“My speculative answer would be no, not if she can help.
“Unfortunately, I cannot see her ever becoming a beloved and cherished member of the royal family, with the uniform respect and worship of the British people.
“I think the ship sailed.”
There are also a number of claims in the interview that are controversial, including the fact that they got married three days before the Windsor wedding.
The Archbishop of Canterbury has since confirmed that this was not the case.
Meghan’s claim that son Archie shouldn’t get the title of prince was also queried, as the existing rules mean he wouldn’t become a prince until Charles becomes king.
Pasternak believes the UK public was angry with Meghan and Harry when they felt they had offended traditions, and polls seem to support that idea.
She said: “Many people believe the interview was a complete lack of respect for the monarchy and, in a sense, for the British.
“Because the monarchy is part of the British psyche.
“So this monarchy bashing can also be seen as British bashing.”
