A former Instagram glamor model threatened to blow up a plane and was handcuffed over a glass of wine during an obscene air rage.
After being told to pay for wine, Hannah Lee Pierson yelled repeatedly on the flight from Melbourne, Australia to Auckland, New Zealand, “Get me some bloody wine or I’ll blow up the plane”.
The 31-year-old stood up and grabbed the arm of a flight attendant who feared he would be headbutted during the in-flight drama, a court heard.
Flight attendants handcuffed Pierson and strapped her to her chair with spare straps, but she continued to scold other passengers, including young children, until she restrained while restrained.
She pleaded guilty on Wednesday to disorderly conduct and disruptive behavior towards a crew member who New Zealand Herald reported.
Pierson was one of 72 passengers on the Air New Zealand flight on November 7th last year.
She asked for a glass of wine and was told that her ticket did not include alcohol and that she would have to pay for it, the Christchurch District Court was told.
Then she yelled, “I don’t give a shit, get me some fucking wine.”

Pierson stood up and shouted, “I’ll get it myself, give me the damn wine.”
She insulted the flight attendant, called her “b ****” and was diverted to an empty row by crew members when she got up from her seat.
She grabbed a flight attendant’s arm and began to move her head, which the crew member feared she would try to hit her.
The crew were concerned because Pierson kept trying to get up from their seat near an emergency exit and yelled “Get me some goddamn wine or I’ll blow up the plane” several times.
Flight attendants decided to handcuff her and use spare straps to secure her to her seat.
She fell asleep about 90 minutes before the plane landed and continued to rant when she woke up, it was reported.
Pierson intends to request a release without conviction so that she can travel in the future, her lawyer told the court.
But Judge Alastair Garland said airlines would likely be “pretty happy” if they didn’t travel again.
She accepted that she had a problem with alcohol in the past.
Pierson, who was taken into custody on bail, will be sentenced in June.
