Mum fears for newborn baby girl after tap water turns yellow

A 27-year-old mother has voiced fears for her newborn baby girl after her tap water turned YELLOW.

The mother spoke up and said she was afraid for her newborn child.

She branded the water coming out of her taps as “unsafe”.

Becky Jenkins told this Body daily mail : “” It was always intermittent, so I didn’t think anything about it, I just let the water run until it became clear.

“But since I was pregnant the subject really hit me and I thought I don’t want to drink this water, it’s unsafe.”

She said, “They also say because I have a newborn – she’s eight weeks old – and they expect her to live on a normal formula or be told to use bottled water to make the formula, but I really can’t Bottles use water because it contains minerals.

“Newborns don’t need that.”

She said she was forced to feed her newborn daughter on convenience foods.

A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: “We apologize for the inconvenience some customers experience on Roslyn Crescent.

“Discoloration can be caused by naturally occurring mineral deposits that build up inside the pipe and cloud the water.

“We’ll be flushing the pipes in the area to remove this in the coming days and supplies will return to normal.”
