MyPillow’s Mike Lindell is turned away from Republican governors event

Lindell gained political fame last year when he became a top ally of then-President Donald Trump and even spoke at an event at the White House during the first few weeks of the pandemic. Trump called him a friend during that press conference in the rose garden. After the 2020 election, Lindell became one of the most famous people touting Trump’s falsehoods about a stolen election, and he hosted a documentary on the subject on One America News Network.

Lindell made several visits to the White House during the final year of Trump’s presidency, days before President Joe Biden’s inauguration. Once it was him photographed with a document about “martial law”.

Lindell shared a screenshot of a calendar event on Tuesday titled “RGA – Nashville Meeting” with the attachment “Nashville Agenda.pdf” and stated that he had been invited to the event in the past month or two. He also shared the schedule of the RGA events for Tuesday and Wednesday with the word “CONFIDENTIAL” at the bottom.

Earlier on Tuesday, Lindell had gone on Steve Bannon’s radio show and pledged to confront Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, chairman of the RGA, over the election and allegations of fraud in their states.

Hundreds of people are attending this week’s conference in Nashville, the organization’s first widespread event since the Covid pandemic began more than a year ago.

In February, Lindell was sued by Dominion Voting Systems for $ 1.3 billion in a defamation case accusing him of repeatedly and falsely alleging that Dominion’s voting machines stole Biden’s voting machine.

Lindell has attended previous RGA meetings, including the winter 2020 meeting where some Republican governors encouraged him to run for governor of Minnesota. Former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell brought him to this event, but Lindell was out of the hotel with McDonnell on Tuesday. Trump also encouraged Lindell to run.

Lindell said in an interview on Tuesday that instead of staying in Nashville for the next few days, he would drive to the airport to get out of town on his private plane.
