“Jessi’s condition has worsened pretty quickly in the past few weeks and days. And she died last night in the comfort of St. Peter’s Hospice in Bristol. She was with her family and in peace.

“Your beautiful words of support and generous donations have meant so much to Jessi and her family over the past few months.”

The update added, “Jessi wanted you to know that any outstanding funds from this fundraiser will be given to a small selection of her chosen charities to support the causes that matter to her – health, animals and the outdoors.

“Personally, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your support for my dear friend, a special soul who has touched more lives than we will ever know.”

The GoFundMe site raised £ 23,500 to help support Jessi during her illness.
