North Korea fires suspected missile into sea

SEOUL, South Korea – North Korea launched a suspected missile into its eastern waters on Wednesday, the South Korean and Japanese military said.

The most recent start came after North Korea’s ruler Kim Jong Un promised at a ruling party conference last week that he would further strengthen his military capabilities.

South Korea’s joint chiefs of staff said North Korea fired the projectile into its eastern waters on Wednesday morning. There were no further details.
