NYC subway straphanger punched, robbed on Manhattan platform

A straphanger was attacked and robbed on a Manhattan subway platform Sunday morning, police said.

The incident happened around 3 a.m. on the north platform of train No. 1 at West 145th Street/Broadway Station in Hamilton Heights.

Two men and a woman walked up to the victim and one of them punched the person in the face, police said.

The robbers took a cell phone and $20 from the rider before fleeing onto the street.
