Pelosi named the need for “testing, testing, testing” as the most important step for the future.
“It’s such a tragedy. We don’t even know how big it is because we don’t have enough tests, ”she said.
Pelosi also attacked Trump for making a signing statement that would restrict supervision of a $ 2 trillion aid package approved last week. Trump’s signing declaration rejected part of the congressional oversight required by bipartisan legislation.
“We do not accept that. We do not accept it. We will be wrong,” said Pelosi, adding: “It is exactly the same as the President is used to.”
