Piers Morgan and Dan Walker get cosy on the golf course after BBC joke

Piers Morgan and Dan Walker used to battle it out for breakfast show ratings, but now they’ve brought their rivalry to the golf course.

Best known as fronting ITV’s Good Morning Britain and BBC Breakfast, the duo clashed on the fairway of Wentworth Golf Club in Surrey on Friday June 11th.

Share a leisurely snapshot of the two on Twitter, Walker wrote, “Can’t believe it … show up at Wentworth and guess who’s up in the group ???? Yes …”

Morgan, who left GMB as co-host in March, replied, “Planning our new show … good morning BBC Breakfast Britain.”

The 56-year-old recently joked that he was applying to replace Louise Minchin as Walker’s co-host at BBC Breakfast after the host announced she was leaving after 20 years.

“Stop chatting Dan – I’ll start Monday,” he tweeted.

“The BBC wanted the guy who beat you in the ratings and the first same-sex male breakfast presentation team to appease the wokies.”

Morgan left GMB in March after claiming he didn’t believe Meghan Markle’s comments during her headline interview with Oprah Winfrey.

After an on-screen fallout with weather host Alex Beresford, Morgan walked off the set in the middle of the show.

It was announced later that day that he would not be returning.
