Police looking for a missing 18-year-old woman have confirmed that they have now started a murder investigation.
Bobbi-Anne McLeod has been reported missing after failing to see her friends in Plymouth on Saturday.
Officials had launched a major search but have now confirmed that a body believed to be Bobbi-Anne had been found.
Formal identification is pending.
But two men, both from Plymouth, were arrested.
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Unfortunately, a woman’s body was found in a search today by police officers near Bovisand, South Hams. These searches were based on information obtained by the police.
“Formal identification has yet to be made, but Bobbi-Anne McLeod’s family has been informed of this development and is being assisted by investigators.
“Two Plymouth men, aged 24 and 26, were arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in police custody.”
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Devon and Cornwall Police on incident number 706 on November 22nd.
