Biden’s government announced its next big legislative push on Wednesday – Spending $ 2.3 trillion on infrastructure and jobs. In this portion of the FiveThirtyEight Politics podcast, the crew discuss possible sticking points and debate whether a democratic initiative should be considered bipartisan when a sizable segment of Republican voters support it but Republican lawmakers don’t.

They also take a look at how the Republican Party is reacting to its recent election losses. Often times, when parties lose elections, they do a soul searching and try to figure out how to make themselves more attractive to American voters. Democrats did that after 2016Republicans did it after 2012. So are Republicans doing autopsies in 2020? If not, why not?
