Jamie Otis apologizes to fans for a Florida vacation during the corona virus outbreak.
The former ‘Married at First Sight’ star, who is a registered nurse, took to Instagram over the weekend to say she was ‘ashamed’ for not taking the COVID-19 virus seriously.
“We’ll fly home tomorrow and I’d be lying if I said I’m not scared. I wish we had gone home a few weeks ago, but we didn’t know how serious this corona virus is, ‘Otis captioned two photos of herself with husband Doug Hehner, 36, and daughter Henley Grace, 2, on a beach in Siesta Key , Florida.

Otis, 33, said she was trying to “not live in fear,” believing that if she “kept a safe distance and kept myself, my family, and everything we touched,” as normal as possible. “
“The past few weeks we went to the beach by car. We went to the pool (but found a spot 1.8 meters away from the few others who were there). We took Gracie to the playground but made sure before washing our hands very well after “All the while I risked our family and others without realizing it,” she wrote.

Alumnus “Bachelor” said the family was now taking precautions to protect themselves and those around them. They also planned to quarantine two weeks after returning home. “I have gloves and masks for our trip home tomorrow and of course a disinfectant … to protect ourselves and protect * others * from us and our foolish choices. It will be our last trip for a long, long time,” she shared.

Otis announced in September that she and Hehner were pregnant again after multiple miscarriages. The couple married in March 2014 during the first season of Lifetime’s “Married at First Sight”.
