Prince Harry returns to UK and can't stay at official royal residence

Prince Harry is back in the UK for his grandfather’s funeral.

The Duke of Sussex landed at Heathrow Airport today and is alone again after pregnant woman Meghan Markle was excluded from Doctos.

He will now catch up with family members mourning after Prince Philip’s death on Friday at the age of 99.

Prince Harry is said to have been driven to Kensington Palace after his flight. The sun reports.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank currently live in his official royal residence – Frogmore Cottage.

It is believed that he could instead stay at Nottingham Cottage, where he and Meghan lived before they were married.

Meghan hasn’t returned to the UK with Harry after being warned not to fly by doctors as she is pregnant with the couple’s second child, a little girl.

Preparations for the funeral are underway and the ceremonial royal funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh will take place at St George’s Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

It will start at 3 p.m. on Saturday April 17th and there will be a minute of silence across the country.

The funeral will also be televised as mourners cannot congregate due to coronavirus restrictions.
