Russian President Vladimir Putin is self-isolating after cases of COVID-19 were discovered in his wake. Russian media reports on Tuesday.
Putin “said that in connection with the proven coronavirus cases in his environment he must adhere to the regime of self-isolation for a certain period of time”, a Declaration made reading to journalists. It doesn’t say how long Putin will isolate.
The Russian head of state shook hands with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Moscow on Monday.
The Kremlin says Putin will not change his work schedule, which is being postponed online. However, he canceled a trip to Tajikistan to attend regional security meetings.
Putin, 68, said he was vaccinated with the Sputnik-V vaccine in the spring.
