The Queen shared four pictures of herself with the Duchess of Cambridge as she wished Kate a happy 40th birthday.
Pictures were shared on the Royal Family’s official social media accounts.
The pictures were shared along with the message: “I wish the Duchess of Cambridge a happy 40th birthday today!”
The pictures show the Queen, Kate and other members of the royal family attending official engagements.
The Queen also shared the three new photos Kate shared in her Instagram Stories on the occasion of the day, reports The mirror.
Prince Charles and Camilla also used social media to send their daughter-in-law a public message.
They wrote: “I wish the Duchess of Cambridge a happy 40th birthday today!”
The Duchess is spending time with her closest family and friends, and they are expected to have a grand celebration together later this year. The Duke will be 40 years old in June.
A source told the Mirror: “This year is a very humble occasion for the Duchess who is going to celebrate privately with her family.
“Of course she is aware of the current situation. She will be surrounded by loved ones and that is all that matters. “
Kate’s official 40th birthday portraits, taken by Paolo Roversi, are part of the National Portrait Gallery’s Coming Home exhibition. They will be exhibited in Berkshire, where Kate grew up, in St Andrews, where she met Prince William, and in Anglesey, her first home.
He said: “To do the portrait of Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge has been a real honor and a moment of pure joy for me.
“I was touched by her warmth and friendly welcome and enchanted by her shining eyes, which reflected the loveliness of her soul, and her smile, which shows the generosity of her heart.
“For me it was a deep and rich experience, an unforgettable moment. I got to know a wonderful person who can bring hope to the whole world with his positive energy. “
