Queen's delight as new Royal baby expected in autumn

A new royal baby is expected later this year, Buckingham Palace announced this morning.

Princess Beatrice, daughter of Prince Andrew, is pregnant with their first child, who is expected in the fall.

The queen is said to have been delighted to learn that she will have a 12th great-grandchild.

The palace said: “HRH Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby this autumn.

“The Queen has been informed and both families are happy to hear the news.”

The queen’s granddaughter and her husband are “very happy” to welcome their first child, the palace said.

The news has brought joy to the monarch and royal family, who mourn the loss of the Duke of Edinburgh, who died last month.

The palace said, “The Queen has been informed and both families are pleased with the news.”

32-year-old Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi married in a secret lockdown wedding last July after their scheduled ceremony was postponed due to the pandemic.

The baby will be the Queen’s 12th great-grandchild after the Sussexes’ second child arrives this summer.
