The low-cost airline Ryanair is expanding its offer to waive fees for flight changes in the new year.
The offer is valid for bookings in December and January with passengers without change fee until September 30, 2021.
Changes must be made at least seven days prior to the departure date of the original booking.
The airline said it wanted to provide “security” in the event that passengers’ travel plans change and said it wanted to offer flexibility and restore customer confidence.
Dara Brady, Marketing and Digital Director, said, “The plans are changing. In order to offer our customers as much flexibility and confidence as possible, we have extended the waiver of our flight change fee for all bookings in December and January.
“Customers can book trips for Christmas, Easter and the summer knowing that if they need to reschedule their travel plans, they can move with no change fee.
“Customers can now plan to see families for Christmas or book an Easter / Summer vacation, with the assurance that they will be able to reschedule their flights with no additional change fees if plans change.”
The unchanged fee originally applied to bookings made after June 10th for travel in July, August, September, October, November and now also in December and January.
Price differences will continue to apply.
A fee will continue to be charged for changes to bookings made as part of the September 1 million flight sale.
