Samsung introduced its SSDs specially produced for PS5 to solve the storage problem, the biggest problem faced by many PS5 users.
Sony’s state-of-the-art PlayStation 5 model, although dazzling with its features, unfortunately continues to drop its price in our country. While the console is high-performance, it has no major storage issues.
Unfortunately, the PlayStation 5 did not support external SSDs on its initial release. This issue was resolved in subsequent releases based on the users’ criticism, but Sony announced that the SSDs to be installed on the PS5s should be internal coolers and left users in a difficult situation. Samsung has finally introduced its dedicated SSDs that will delight PS5 users.
Dedicated SSDs with internal cooling
These M.2 SSDs, introduced by Samsung and specially developed for the PS5, their internal heat sink allows them to run at maximum write speed at low temperatures. Sony also announced that SSDs to be installed on PS5s must have a write speed of 5,500 MB per second. Samsung’s SSDs, on the other hand, can deliver performance well above the recommended speed with a write speed of 7,000 MB per second.
Although these SSDs are produced especially for PS5 users, they can of course also be used elsewhere. These SSDs are almost the same size as standard M.2 SSDs and can work seamlessly with other storage units in computers.
