Search is on for Female Start-up of the Year

Enterprise Nation has announced the return of its annual search for Female Start-up of the Year, one of the highlights of the Festival of Women Entrepreneurs.

With this year’s festival, the Small Business Network and Business Support Provider – with the support of TSB – are organizing back in Bristol’s M-Shed on Friday, October 22, 2021. Submissions are now open for an award that not only celebrates a superstar start-up founder, but also gives them access to business-boosting prizes.

The organizers are looking for applicants with a clear vision of the direction of their start-up – and ambitious growth plans. Your company must be less than five years old and have a maximum of 10 employees.

Submit your application by Wednesday, September 22nd, 5:00 p.m. Entrants will be reduced to a shortlist of 10, with a public vote to determine the three finalists, each of whom will be invited to pitch live on stage at the Festival of Female Entrepreneur in Bristol on Friday, October 22, 2021.

Past winners include Jessica Heagren, founder of That Works For Me digital business marketplace and Molly Masters, founder of Books That Matter, the UK’s leading and largest book subscription portal.

Emma Jones, Founder of Enterprise Nation, CBE, said, “A celebration of British women founders, this contest awards one lucky winner the prestigious title of Female Start-up of the Year 2021 and a bundle of business boosting prizes.

“The past 18 months have been challenging for many companies, but entrepreneurs are naturally optimistic and we have been overwhelmed by the determination and resilience of small businesses. That is why this year’s celebration of entrepreneurship is even more important. “
