Secondary pupils and teachers must wear face masks under new rule

Secondary school teachers and children are required to wear face masks.

According to Sky News, the rule is part of the new government guidelines for schools in England.

Students in grade 7 and up have been told to wear face masks outside of classrooms where social distance cannot be maintained; H. Hallways and corridors.

The guidelines were released today, Wednesday 4th November, ahead of England’s four-week lockdown.

The new blocking rules will take effect from midnight.

All non-essential businesses will be closed and household shuffling will be prohibited.

Schools, colleges and universities will remain open, the government confirmed in an announcement on Saturday.

Secondary schools in Scotland are already required to wear face masks.

Students 15 and older are asked to wear them in classrooms when in a high risk area.
