A concept arts series shared by one of the developers of CD Projekt RED refers to some old designs. Keanu Reeves, star of the Matrix, John Wick of Dracula, and many others, surprised players when he appeared at the Microsoft conference at E3 2019.
“You are breathtaking,” he then spoke to an audience that broke into applause. The actor announced his presence in Cyberpunk 2077, the new production of CD Projekt RED, also the creators of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. However, the character he plays, Johnny Silverhand, didn’t always share facial features with the artist, as can be seen in the conceptual arts that artist Lea Leonowicz shares.
While the images published on Artstation do not provide any kind of information in this regard, it is clear that these designs differ from the designs created in the final game, not only because the character’s appearance is different, but also because the facial features go further. there are also changes compared to the current Johnny Silverhand. Still, he retains other features of his, such as the mane or the metal arm (obvious given the character’s name) that runs through Night City.
Fix a launch full of problems
CD Projekt RED, meanwhile, continues to work on improving the game, which has been dragged by console performance issues. The situation got so bad that Sony Interactive Entertainment made the decision to remove it from PlayStation Store until the build was more stable. The study offered the repayment money but asked for a vote of confidence as they are confident they will be able to turn the situation around.
Cyberpunk 2077 went on sale on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS4, PS5 and Google Stadia last December. The Polish developers recently published a video in which they not only apologize, but also show their roadmap. The patch for the new generation of consoles is still planned for 2021, although everything seems to indicate that it will reach the end of the course.
