Ski slopes in France will not be open this February

According to the country’s tourism minister, it is “highly unlikely” that the ski slopes in France will be open to tourists in February.

Tourism Minister Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne said the ski lifts will remain closed.

France kept its resorts open this winter but closed the lifts to deter tourists.

Current restrictions mean that Brits arriving in France must sign an affidavit that they are free of Covid symptoms and that they must have a signed travel certificate stating a reason for essential travel.

The UK lockdown rules prohibit international travel except for essential reasons.

Anyone coming to the UK must have a negative Covid test within 72 hours and self-isolate for 10 days upon arrival in the UK.
