A first picture of singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor on the set of Neighbors filming scenes for Australian soap was revealed.
The star can be seen with actress Jemma Donovan when they were shooting together for the set scenes of the series drama in London.
Sophie – who entertained thousands with her weekly Instagram Live Kitchen Disco during the lockdown – made her cameo on set earlier this week.
The photo was taken by the two of them on Queens Walk, a stretch of the south bank of the Thames at the foot of the iconic London landmark, the London Eye.
Donovan’s character Harlow Robinson is surprised when the singer shares some wisdom about some of her late mother Prue’s actions.
When she joined the cast of Neighbors for the London filming, Sophie Ellis-Bextor said, “Neighbors were a big part of my school days. We’ve all seen it, loved it, talked about it. It is a pleasure to be able to say that I was there! Thanks to everyone from the cast and crew for being so nice. I loved it!”
The soap announced earlier this week that British Got Talent judge Amanda Holden would also be on the London scenes and play Harlow’s aunt Harriet.
Viewers will be able to see Sophie’s scenes following Harlow and her visit to the UK next spring, where she will be reunited with her aunt Harriet – played by British Got Talent judge Amanda Holden – in London to solve a family riddle about Harlow’s mother and Harriet’s deceased sister Prue, who was portrayed by actress Denise van Outen in 2019.
Jason Herbison, Executive Producer of Neighbors, said, “We are absolutely thrilled with how filming with the wonderful Amanda Holden and Jemma Donovan went. Having Sophie Ellis-Bextor with us is the icing on the cake and we can’t wait to share the story with our British audience next year. “
Viewers in the UK can watch the episode on Channel 5 when it airs next spring.
