Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse won’t appear in the studio this weekend as she has revealed she is self-isolating.
The judge will not be under the glitter ball on Saturday (November 14th) and has told her fans on social media that she will “watch from home”.
She continued Twitter : “Hi folks – at the beginning of this week I had to travel to Germany for an urgent reason.
“I will of course follow UK Government guidelines for 14 days and self-isolate.
“I’ll be watching from home and should be in your living room thanks to the power of technology.
“But watch out, I do my own hair and make-up.”
A spokesman said MirrorOnline : “Motsi had to make a substantial trip and will now isolate for 14 days according to government guidelines.”
She will be able to appear – and judge – virtually like fellow judge Bruno Tonioli, who is still in America.
The change of plans comes just hours after Katya Jones and Nicola Adams were forced to quit the series today after Katya tested positive Coronavirus.
Although Nicola tested negative, she must be quarantined for 14 days after her close contact with Katya.
It Takes Two host Rylan Clark-Neal also isolates himself after coming into contact with someone infected with the virus.
Gethin Jones is Rylan’s temporary replacement, while no one will replace Katya and Nicola.
This morning Nicola said, “Hey guys! I’m absolutely devastated. My Strictly journey came to an end so quickly. I had so much more to give and so many people to win it over!”
“But I just want to say a big thank you to Katya for being the best dance partner anyone could ask for.
“She pushed me out of my comfort zone and it was an amazing experience.
“I’m disappointed not to be competing, but in these unprecedented times and frustrating as it is, the COVID measures in place are to keep everyone safe and I’m doing what I can to help.”
“I’ll be spending the next 14 days isolating myself so I want to apologize in advance for the ridiculous amount of TikToks I’ll be posting in my newfound free time when I’m not playing!”
