Teen mum 'attacked while picking up a takeaway' after night out

One mother spoke about being left covered in blood after being “attacked while taking out a snack”.

Jade Grocott went to the pub and then opted for a pizza from a takeaway in Stoke on Trent.

Inside, the 18-year-old claims she was hit on the head in an unprovoked attack.

Jade says a man she didn’t know was also beaten up in the incident that occurred at 1 a.m. on Friday, June 4th. Stoke on Trent Live Reports.

But the takeaway denied any knowledge of violence. It is said to have asked two “drunk” women to leave the premises after they became “hostile”.

Photos and video show Jade’s face covered in blood from a wound to her eyebrow.

Police took her to the Royal Stoke University Hospital, where she had five stitches before she was released.

Jade from Goldenhill said, “I went in to order a pizza and there I asked if I could go to the bathroom, but they said ‘no’. I then waited by the side of the building before getting back in my meal.

“They threw it on the counter. I went out but they followed me.

“A boy was passing by at the same time and they started arguing with him. They pushed him to the ground and beat and kicked him.

“I was going to challenge them when one of them turned around and hit me. At first I thought it was a punch, but when I was in the hospital I was told that the injury was caused by a sharp object.

“The boy got up from the ground and they chased him down the street. There were seven or eight of them.

“I went away and immediately called the police. So they closed the shop and drove away.

“When the police got there, they were long gone.”

Jade says the incident made her too anxious to leave home.

She added, “Myself and a friend had just gone to the pub but we were late to eat so we thought we would get a take away instead.

“I don’t understand what happened. I have no idea who the other boy was, he just passed by as far as I could tell. I don’t know if they thought he was with me.

“I don’t know why they did this to me. I’ve never had a problem there.

“I’m too scared to leave home. Since it happened, I’ve struggled to fall asleep. I just hope they get caught. “

The takeaway says that two women – presumably Jade and her friend – cursed in the shop. It is said they had a problem with the man who was later attacked.

A spokesman said: “We just cordoned off and went home. If something happened after that, I don’t know anything. We love our customers and have never had a bad reputation.”

Staffordshire Police are aware of Jade’s call.

A spokesman said: “The police were called at 1:04 am on Friday after reports of violence. Officials were present and a woman said she suffered a facial injury following an argument. She was taken to hospital for treatment.”
