Tesco shoppers divided over controversial new Cadbury chocolate bar

Tesco recently came under fire following a controversial announcement from buyers.

The supermarket giant shared a photo of the new Cadbury Orange Dairy Milk on Facebook.

But some avid Cadbury fans weren’t impressed, Birmingham Live reports.

The entry read: “A Call to All Chocoholics. This zesty Cadbury UK chocolate mashup is brand new and available from Tesco. Who can’t wait to try it?”

One shopper wrote, “Tried it a few weeks ago, had less than half and threw it in the trash can. It’s ranked.”

Another responded: “It’s wonderful, very sweet, but it’s worth it. Better cold out of the refrigerator.”

While a third commented, “I absolutely love it and ate the entire bar to myself in one sitting.”

Another also negated the negativity about the bars, adding, “I love Choc Orange, would love to see Chocolate Orange Maltese.”

Anne-Marie wrote, “I recently bought a pair for Steve and me – it was damn nice! I also had a galaxy orange that a friend gave me which was even better.”

Jim said, “Cadbury used to be the best chocolate, but it’s been awful since they changed it. Far too sickly sweet and kind of waxy, just like most American ‘chocolates’.”

Steve agreed and wrote, “Terry’s is the best orange chocolate ever.

He added, “Haven’t tried Cadbury’s yet, but their chocolate is very grainy. Bournville Bar is lovely and so is the Galaxy.”

Another agreed, adding, “Don’t like orange chocolate and don’t like Cadbury’s milk chocolate – way too sweet for me.”

“I would honestly prefer a mint bar, not a fan of chocolate orange,” Reina agreed.
