Dirty John The Betty Broderick Story, is an American crime bundle series. The story is based on the podcast of the same name.
The podcast was very popular, featuring the voices of Debra Newell and her family. The podcast has been downloaded more than 50 million times. So Netflix decided to turn the podcast into a show.
The second season of the show is titled Dirty John: The Story of Betty Broderick. The role of the main character (Betty Broderick) is played by Amanda Peet. Betty Broderick is a woman of strong Catholic values. She had strict parents and was married to Daniel Broderick.
Even after being a perfect housewife and mother of four, her marriage came to an abrupt end in a tragic fashion.
Betty’s girlfriend tries to help her, she asked her to stop her inconsistent behavior and act wisely, but Betty has no control over it.
Betty has been seen as a victim since childhood. She longed for love all along, but did not receive it in her life.

About Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story * Spoiler *
In the second season of the series, we see Emily Bergl play Marie Stewart. She is Betty’s close friend who helps and comforts her after her divorce from Dan.
The story will take a different turn when Betty’s fear takes over and she kills her husband (Dan) and his new wife (Linda). After the murder of her ex and his new wife, she is in prison.
Betty Broderick’s children are all grown up. They are settled and have a family of their own, while their mother is still in prison.
