The Covid infection rate for all 315 parts of England, ranked

New figures have revealed the coronavirus infection rates for all 315 municipal areas in England.

Monday’s update for the seven days ending April 22 is based on the number of people who tested positive for Covid-19 in either a lab-reported or rapid lateral flow test after the sample date.

Selby, North Yorkshire, has the highest rate of 101 new cases in the seven days to April 22 – that’s 111.5 cases per 100,000 people.

That is an increase of 48.6 in the seven days leading up to April 15, the largest increase in the country.

Kirklees in West Yorkshire has the second highest rate of 303 new cases from 61.8 to 68.9.

Doncaster has the third highest score, despite having dropped from 80.2 to 67.0 with 209 new cases.

The list was calculated by the Press Association news agency and is based on data from Public Health England released on the government’s coronavirus dashboard on April 26th.

The numbers only last until April 22nd, as the data is incomplete after that date.

Here is the full list.
