The pandemic caused by the new coronavirus continues to trigger widespread reverberations around the entertainment world, slowing and derailing productions, release schedules and sales numbers. So what’s a network to do if the pipeline of new episodes runs out for late spring? If you are CW, you return to what works.

As reported by Heroic Hollywoodwill broadcast the CW again Crisis on endless earths, it is a universal mega event, in April, to fill up suddenly vacant airtime. Do you have the dazzling array of cameos, callbacks and universe-rending drama? This is going to be an excellent time to catch up and experience it as a live TV event, which is fun. Experiencing something like a week-long live TV event is one of the great joys of the classic television crossover – how the thing unfolds over time, leaving enough space for suspense and anticipation.

The first of the four episodes of Crisis will air on April 7, with the second episode immediately afterwards and the third and fourth episodes airing on the 8th and 9th. If you’ve fallen behind on the Arrowverse or just want to see Brandon Routh play with the dignified older Superman we never thought he had in him, this is your lucky break.
