At Easter 2019 there were rumors of a rift between Princes William and Harry and their wives Meghan and Kate.
Preparing to welcome their first child, the Sussexes decided not to move to a larger apartment at Kensington Palace and instead move to Windsor.
Rumors believed there was tension between the brothers after seeing them attend the royal family’s Easter Sunday service, he writes The mirror.
Meghan skipped the event as she was heavily pregnant and Harry was walking alone as he stared at the floor while William and Kate followed ten paces behind.
The brothers eventually found each other side by side to greet the pastor, but there was no confirmation between the siblings when Harry walked away and stood alone from the group.
At the time, body language expert Judi James told Spiegel: “The body language between the two princes here not only adds to speculation that the couple is no longer speaking, it also seems to suggest that a gap may have widened.
“When he was single Harry always formed a close and happy trio with William and Kate, but here it looks sadly as if he was trying very hard to have a lack of communication with his brother.
“Not only does he come and go separately from William and Kate, his antics as William approaches the church entrance make him look awkward and suggest that he might be desperate to avoid him.
“His expression looks grumpy and he seems to raise a hand to touch his face in what looks like a partially cut-off gesture suggesting a desire to hide.”
However, it was later revealed that after the service, Kate and William went to Meghan and Harry’s house, Frogmore Cottage, for tea to help heal the rift.
They stayed for about half an hour and Harry reportedly gave his brother and sister-in-law the full tour.
At the time, a palace source told The Mirror, “The Duchess and Harry have developed a very close relationship over the years.
“Kate is very aware of the importance of William and Harry getting along, not only because of the perception but also because of their collective responsibility to the entire monarchy.
“Harry advised his brother through William and Kate’s more turbulent years, and the three of them had formed the greatest partnership.”
ITV Royal editor Chris Ship said the meeting was “meaningful” to both couples.
He added: “[Kate and William] brought some presents for the inauguration. Is that a sign they’re trying to fix things? “
