The Queen will reportedly make Windsor Castle her primary residence after Prince Philip’s death.
It is claimed that she wants the palace to be her home and Buckingham Palace to be her workspace.
That’s because she wants to be close to the Duke of Edinburgh, her 73-year-old husband.
Queen Elizabeth II said goodbye to him yesterday at a funeral at St. George’s Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
Prince Philip’s body had now been buried in the royal vault of the chapel.
Windsor Castle is also where the couple was last together.
They had isolated themselves at the castle in Berkshire during the pandemic, and the Duke of Edinburgh passed away peacefully there on April 9, aged 99.
When the Queen dies, the Duke of Edinburgh will join her and they will lie side by side in King George VI’s memorial chapel.
Buckingham Palace is currently under renovation for £ 369 million.
