The Prince Philip funeral guests you've never heard of

Prince Philip’s funeral attendees were announced this weekend before the service.

The funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh will take place on Saturday 17th April at 3pm at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. However, due to the current coronavirus restrictions in England, only 30 people can participate.

A guest list has been published, made up mostly of the Duke’s children and grandchildren and their spouses.

In addition to the Queen, there will be Charles and Camilla, Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry, who recently traveled from the US and are self-isolating at Frogmore Cottage.

Also on the guest list are Prince Andrew and Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie of his daughter and her husband’s Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank.

The youngest child of the Queen and Prince Philip, Prince Edward, the Count of Wessex, and his wife Sophie, the Countess of Wessex and their two children, Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn, will also attend the funeral on Saturday.

As well as the Duke of Edinburgh’s only daughter, Princess Anne, her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence and Peter Phillips, Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall.

But there may be some guests that you haven’t heard so much about, including one of Prince Philip’s closest confidants, Countess Mountbatten of Burma. She was the coach driver and boyfriend of the Duke of Edinburgh.
