Even with a defeat, President Trump’s villains are in the spotlight. Speculation is rife as to whether the Biden administration or the various state and local criminal investigations in New York will lead to criminal prosecution of Trump himself Campaign Funding Violations (the alleged bribes to his mistresses for keeping silent about Trump’s disagreements with them in 2016) Tax fraud to obstruction of justice. President-elect Joe Biden has stated this “This is the time to heal” suggests he leave the prosecution of Trump to others. An important means for the country to heal is to restore confidence in the government and pride in the public service. And for that to happen, the spotlight must be put on how the Trump administration systematically acted on our administration.
Trump led an essentially shameless kleptocracy; Without question, it is one of the most corrupt administrations in history. His own self-enrichment is notorious. He occupied Supervisory authorities and departments with lobbyists and executives with special interests that they have commissioned to regulate: a Coal industry lobbyist to protect air and water Oil lobbyist in the interior department, a Raytheon lobbyist in the Ministry of Defense and so on.
Some of the founders have become notorious for personal despolations – like that of Ben Carson, Secretary of State for Housing and Urban Development $ 31,000 dining room set or displaced Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt $ 43,000 soundproof phone booth. Last year, ProPublica reported 281 former lobbyists had been recruited into the Trump administration – one lobbyist for every 14 non-public sector vacancies and four times more than Obama hired in his first six years in office.
