Diver Tom Daley, singer Elaine Paige and the pop group Steps were among the famous faces honored at the Attitude Awards.
The awards are intended to benefit the Attitude Magazine Foundation, which raises money for LGBT causes.
The awards were presented on Wednesday at a ceremony at the Camden Roundhouse in London that featured the musical performances of Steps, Paige and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Bimini.
Daley accepted the sports award, while Paige received the gay honorary award.
TV presenter Adele Roberts received the broadcast award, while the Netflix series Sex Education was recognized as the winner of the Gamechanger award.
Steps won the Icon Award, while actor Ben Aldridge won in the television category.
Actor Billy Porter won the Man of the Year award, while the Channel 4 series It’s A Sin won the Inspiration Award.
Bimini won the Style Prize, actor Chella Man won the Heroes Prize, and West End star Max Harwood won the Breakthrough Prize for his role in the musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.
Darren Styles, editor of Attitude magazine, said: “A year due to Covid meant the world’s largest LGBTQ media brand went online in 2020, reaching more than two million viewers across multiple channels.
“But there’s nothing like 650 people in a room, dressed to the last detail and celebrating the LGBTQ community to get the blood pumping.
“Especially if you make the headlines with Steps – 2021 is the comeback year, the year you say you were there!”
