David Schoen, one of the defenders for former President Donald Trump, said the Senate impeachment proceedings could be completed on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday evening, Schön said the defense team will likely need three to four hours on Friday to present their arguments. He added that the process is “moving much faster” than expected.
Schön had originally requested that the process be interrupted from sundown Friday through Sunday so that he could keep the Sabbath. But he withdrew the request, adding that he simply would not attend the trial during that time.
