Video shows NYPD sergeant walk away from motorcylce accident

video shows at the moment an NYPD highway sergeant on a motorcycle was swept aside by a vehicle and knocked to the ground in Queens — and he ran away, police said Sunday.

The officer, whose name and age have not been released, was riding two other motorcycles when the Lexus SUV swerved into its lane on Grand Central Parkway eastbound off the Van Wyck Expressway about noon Saturday, police said.

The 51-year-old woman driving the Lexis “made an unsafe lane change and came into contact with the officer’s motorcycle,” a police spokesperson said.

The officer, who was standing and leaning against a tunnel wall shortly after the crash, was taken to Jacobi hospital in stable condition. He sustained multiple injuries all over his body, police said.

The female driver was charged with an unsafe lane change. The crash is still under investigation, police said.
