Coronavirus restrictions continue to increase across England and the roadmap continues to roll out.
The government has announced that we can get back to normal in the coming months as summer approaches.
In April, non-essential stores reopened and we could see our friends and family in our gardens, but it doesn’t stop there.
The lockdown will continue to increase in the coming months, but when will the next lockdown period end and what will happen afterwards?
There are some important dates that you should be aware of so that we can get closer to normal. Here’s everything we know so far.
When is the next phase out of service?
The next stage of lockdown at the time of writing is May 17th.
May 17 allows people to see friends and family indoors, with the rule of six still in place, or two households.
Indoor hospitality is reopening and, as has been the case with outdoor venues since they reopened on April 12, there are no restrictions on curfew or the need to serve an extensive meal.
Entertainment venues such as cinemas and children’s playgrounds; the rest of the lodging sector, including hotels, hostels and B & Bs; Indoor group sports and exercise classes for adults are also reopening.
Larger indoor performances and sporting events with a capacity of 1,000 people or half full (whichever is lower) and outdoor areas with a capacity of 4,000 people or half full are also permitted.
The largest outdoor seating, where the crowd can spread out, can seat up to 10,000 people (or a quarter full, whichever is lower). An event can be held.
Weddings, receptions, and guards, and funerals can also accommodate up to 30 people.
What other deadlines are there outside of the blocking?
The next – and hopefully last deadline – is June 21st, which marks the last and last deadline outside of the block.
However, that could change if the government decides to push back certain dates or conditions.
On June 21, most social restrictions will be lifted, which means most places will reopen and other social restrictions should be lifted.
However, more deadlines could be added depending on what the government implements.
