Why Meghan and Harry's interview with Oprah will be 35 minutes longer on ITV

It’s the interview the UK public has been waiting for for days – and we’re finally going to get our chance tonight.

Prince Harry and wife Meghan will turn their relationship with the royal family on its head during a conversation with Oprah Winfrey filmed in the garden of their California mansion for friend and CBS journalist Gayle King.

It will air on ITV at 9 p.m. tonight.

Many bombs from the interview were revealed – including Meghan’s revelation about feelings of suicide and that royals were “concerned” about what color baby Archie’s skin would be.

But people will adjust to the full context of some of the claims.

Today Oprah said the full interview lasted three hours and 20 minutes before it was reduced to one hour and 25 minutes for the US broadcast.

Tonight it will be broadcast on ITV from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. – two hours airtime.

That means there will be 35 minutes of advertising to fill the room.

Oprah With Meghan and Harry will be on ITV Monday March 8th at 9 p.m. You can watch the full interview afterwards on the ITV hub
