Windows 10 includes a feature that allows us to organize the open windows on the desktop so that each window takes up a space and we always have several of them in view without focusing on any of them, causing others to find out. This way, we can place up to four windows, spread across each room of our screen, to move from one to the other without losing sight of them.
However, if you are one of those who use certain applications on a daily basis and you always want to see them in the same place on your screen, there is a more advanced tool that allows us to do just that: always open any of the applications we want.
To do this, we’ll have to use Microsoft’s tool, PowerToys, as it has a utility that allows us to do exactly this. The feature in question is called FancyZones, and as the name suggests, it allows us to divide our computer screen into as many areas as we want to specify which application we want to open in each of them.
Open applications in the same place where they were before closing
The main difference from the Windows 10 feature is that in this case we are not limited to the maximum 4 positions that the system offers us, but we can make as many as we want. Before:
The first thing we need to do is open PowerToys
Next we go to FancyZones
If we still don’t have PowerToys on our computer, we can download and install the tool from the same link.
