The low-cost airline Wizz Air has announced two new destinations connecting Birmingham with Romania.
Connections to Iasi and Craiova will start on October 23rd and 24th with one-way fares from £ 17.99.
Fighst will operate destinations to both destinations twice a week and expand the airline’s Birmingham network to 10 airports, Bucharest, Budapest, Cluj-Napoca, Krakow, Riga (from December 4th), Vilnius (from December 5th), Warsaw and Wroclaw.
Owain Jones, Managing Director of Wizz Air UK, said: “We are excited to add cheaper connections to our network from Birmingham Airport and to offer our West Midlands customers new ways to explore truly unique destinations.
“As cities steeped in history, Iasi and Craiova offer many cultural and architectural delights.”
Wizz Air has steadily expanded its presence at UK airports over the past few months. Announcements include new routes from Luton and Liverpool, the expansion of Doncaster Sheffield and a new base in Gatwick.
The airline has also launched one Travel planning map, a new website search tool that allows passengers to determine which destinations they can fly to at that time.
The low-cost airline hopes the asset will also provide information on existing travel restrictions related to coronavirus.
