A woman was killed in a horror crash near I’m a Celebrity Castle.
The pedestrian was reportedly at a location where fans were taking photos of Gwrych Castle in Wales, where the reality TV series is currently being filmed.
According to The Sun, emergency services rushed to the scene on the A547 in Abergele, North Wales around 5 p.m. yesterday.
It is believed that the woman was hit by a blue Volvo and pronounced dead at the scene while the driver was uninjured.
After the fatal accident, police closed the road in both directions and motorists were told to avoid the area.
The coroner has been informed.
The location is just 1.6 km from the castle and offers a clear view of the tourist attraction where the show is being filmed.
There is no evidence that the woman took photos at the time of the accident.
Sgt. Emlyn Hughes of the Roads Policing Unit said; “I appeal to everyone who witnessed this tragic incident or who has dash cam recordings to contact the Roads Policing Unit.
“The road remains closed and will take some time while we conduct our investigations.”
The Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed that by 5 p.m. there were two fast-reacting vehicles and two ambulances on site.
Gwrych Castle became the location of the series after ITV bosses swapped the Australian jungle for a 200-year-old castle due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Participants include Vernon Kay, Sir Mo Farah, Jessica Plummer, Beverley Callard and Victoria Derbyshire, while Ant and Dec are still performing the live shows on the castle grounds, which are set in 250 acres of gardens.
