TikTok: Woman finds hidden safe in her house

A woman made a surprising discovery while cleaning her house when she found a safe under her carpet.

TikToker Liz said she came across the mystery when she pulled back her rug while doing household chores.

She thinks the safe could have been there for up to 20 years, left untouched, reports the DailyStar.

Sharing the video on her profile, she explained: “I bought a house in November and just found a hidden safe in the floor.

“The house was built in the late 70s.”

In the video, she flips open a small patch of carpet to reveal a metal lid, then she lifts it up – revealing a compact cream-coloured safe box with a turning dial facing up.

A sticker showing the company’s name is attached on the corner and it says “Bundy’s Lock and Safe Co.”, along with a phone number and an address.

“I noticed it when I was vacuuming and I saw some random fray on the carpet behind the door and right here, there’s a line,” Liz told her viewers after the first video went viral.

“So I ran my vacuum over there and those things aren’t coming up, so I got down to investigate and I was able to pull the carpet up – boom, hidden safe.”

Many viewers were curious to find out what could be stored inside the safe – so they offered suggestions to Liz to break open it.

In her update video, she called safe expert Jim to crack open the box.

Sadly, there’s nothing kept inside the safe and Liz was disappointed, saying: “That’s it? It’s empty! Oh no, that’s okay though.”

Jim commented: “At least you have a bad a** safe.”

Liz told her viewers that she will utilize it and “fill it with weird treasures for the future owner of this house to stumble upon”.
