Woman's brilliant hack to spend less time taking down Christmas decorations

Christmas and New Year are over, which means many of us will tear down the festive decorations.

And this annual chore can be a real pain, especially packing away the decorations from the tree.

Well, one social media user thinks she has the trick of making sure you don’t have to mess around for too long this year.

Amy Foster posting from the handle @thick_fil_amy on Tick ​​tockShe revealed how she perfectly preserves her completely decorated plastic tree all year round so that she doesn’t have to bother to dismantle the decorations at all.

In the app, Amy explained how she covered her entire tree with a plastic mattress cover – still wrapped in tinsel, fairy lights and balls, before she simply put the whole tree in her loft and it only costs less than 3 pounds.

However, this isn’t the first hack of its kind to be shared. Two years ago, mom Renae Krivitz shared her own Christmas tree storage hack on Facebook which involved wrapping the Christmas tree in cling film before storing it.

“My new time-saving Christmas invention,” she wrote. “No more decorating / and decorating. Wrap it up and keep it!”

Think of all the extra time you could spend drinking mulled wine.

Of course, both of these hacks only make sense if you have the luxury of having a space big enough all year round to store the tree year round, but doing so could save a lot of time and hassle .
